I definitely did not
. What’s more, I was thrilled when I saw the two words combined.
Naturally I then signed up to get the scoop. I am still in the beginning phases of the course but with a 100 average so far, I think this is a great fit.

A Guiding Hermetic Principal + Basis for Medical Astrology
Medical astrology (traditionally known as iatromathematics) is an ancient applied branch of astrology based mostly on melothesia. This includes the correlation of various parts of physical symptoms and diseases with the nature of the sun, moon, planets, and the twelve astrological signs. It was believed that medical astrology was the bridge between science and math.

But, it’s like, so old…
Of course many people would be like ….. “seriously?” with a skeptical look on their faces.
I am not here to convince but to simply understand the relationship of our ailments and our zodiac. So far, I have found it to be truly fascinating. In the same line of diagnostic procedure as Traditional Chinese Medicine, which I also use. These practices are from ancient times and I believe there is validity. I have correctly assessed or diagnosed many clients as well as myself, with Chinese Meridians and the Chinese Organ Clock. It is from these experiences that I find good reason to constantly expand the perception and methods of healing.
Astrology and medicine have been closely linked since ancient times and have spanned many cultures. In this long ago time, the doctor was by default an astrologer and astrology was held to highest standards of medical education.
A HUGE benefit of Medical Astrology is that it incorporated early detection. By using the birth chart, a doctor could predict the problems and symptoms ahead of time.
Another method that was utilized was horary astrology. Horary astrology embraces a chart that is based on current positioning of planets and zodiac. Other concepts used were the Four Humors (blood, black bile, yellow bile + phlegm) as well as the seven metals (gold, silver, copper, tin, lead, iron, and mercury).
.
But what time was that exactly?
Astrological medicine required knowing the exact time at which the patient became ill. With this information and a study of the heavens, the physician could predict the course of illness with mathematical precision and avoid dangerous tendencies. I can’t imagine knowing exactly what time my diseases began that day over twelve years ago. I would also never have guessed that it mattered.
Celestial considerations affected the course and timing of treatments. Specific herbs were used to treat each zodiac sign pertaining to the symptoms. It was believed that the Sun governed chronic diseases, Saturn caused sadness or depression, and the moon influenced the outcome of surgery, procedures bleeding and acute illness. Since the moon ruled the tides, an almanac was always consulted before any therapeutic bleedings were preformed. The physician thought the result of this odd-to-us therapy depended on the phase and position of the moon. The patient may also be advised to wear a special stone or carving for the procedure.
Since the days of Isaac Newton and Galileo Medical Astrology was demoted from prime diagnostic measure to occult silliness that did not jive with Modern Medicine.
Fun Fact
Rx used today to symbolize a prescription. Historically Rx stood for radix. Your physician would write Rx on your paper to denote that your horoscope had been read.
